FASD-CMC Strategic and Operational Plan 2013-2014

The Plan is designed to provide a comprehensive and coordinated provincial response to FASD across the lifespan and continuum of services that is respectful of individual, family and diversity.

The Plan addresses the following areas related to FASD:

  • Awareness and prevention;
  • Diagnosis and assessment;
  • Supports for individuals affected and their caregivers;
  • Training and education;
  • Strategic planning;
  • Research and evaluation; and
  • Stake holder engagement.

The approach of the FASD-CMC in the Strategic and Operational Plan for 2013/14 is to operationalize the recommendations from the Year 5 Evaluation of the FASD 10-Year Strategic Plan.  An outcome-based management approach that looks beyond inputs, activities and outputs, and expands the meaning of the accountability to include a life-cycle approach, consider results (what was achieved), learning (what needs to be improved), and adaptations (what needs to be corrected) has been used.
