FASD Awareness Campaign Project - Final Report

The Alberta Centre for Child, Family and Community Research Centre contracted the Population Research Laboratory (PRL) at the University of Alberta to conduct a two-phase study on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) awareness and prevention. The first phase of the study, conducted in June, 2009, consisted of two focus groups in Fort McMurray, Alberta. The first group included five women of child-bearing age who were not currently pregnant (preconception). The second group included thirteen providers of health, education, and social services and programs (service providers). The second phase of the study, which began in October, 2009, consisted of an on-line survey of community-based, practising pharmacists across the province.
